The Chicago Thinker is an independent student publication at the University of Chicago. The Chicago Thinker Foundation is a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit media organization that owns the Chicago Thinker student publication and funds and oversees its operations. The Foundation supports and protects the student publication by providing financial oversight, safeguarding the paper’s intellectual property, and defending its mission.
The opinions articulated by the authors and commenters in the Chicago Thinker’s pages—and upon all of its associated social media platforms—are theirs alone. Such opinions do not represent the opinions of the University of Chicago. The Chicago Thinker is not a Recognized Student Organization at the University. Furthermore, the opinions articulated by the commenters in the Chicago Thinker’s pages and social media threads do not represent the opinions of the Chicago Thinker or its staff. The Chicago Thinker prohibits libelous comments and/or comments that impersonate other individuals. Otherwise, the Chicago Thinker does not oversee the commentary in its comments sections.
The Chicago Thinker maintains the right to edit and/or refuse to publish content submissions, pursuant to the Chicago Thinker’s editorial judgement, mission statement, and policies.
The Chicago Thinker does not publish anonymous submissions.
